Blue Bracket Semifinal: No. 1 Logan-Rogersville Overwhelms No. 4 Glendale, Advances to Title Game

By Skylan Akins

The mission stayed intact — and emphatic.

The top-seeded Logan-Rogersville Wildcats continued their dominant tournament run, overwhelming the No. 4 Glendale Falcons with relentless pressure and balance on both ends in an 80–46 Blue Bracket semifinal victory.

Logan-Rogersville entered the game 7–0 on the season, averaging a 24-point margin of victory, and showed exactly why. The Wildcats are now one win away from their first championship since 2018, seeking redemption after last year’s title-game loss to Kickapoo.

First Quarter: Early Fireworks

The semifinal opened with a bang.

Chase Branham electrified the gym with a power dunk on the opening possessions, but Glendale answered immediately with a Jacan Seats three, grabbing a 6–4 lead with 5:30 left. A pair of Logan-Rogersville turnovers led to transition points, and the Falcons briefly controlled momentum at 11–6.

That was short-lived.

Logan-Rogersville’s 2-3 zone flipped the game. The Wildcats clogged passing lanes, forced rushed decisions, and turned defense into offense. Branham and Titus Moore fueled a late surge, capped by a Branham three that gave LR its first lead at 16–13 with 15 seconds remaining.

Glendale answered just before the horn, trimming the margin to 16–15 after one.

Second Quarter: Wildcats Take Control

The Wildcats seized the game in the second.

Branham ignited a 6–0 personal run, followed by another finish from Moore, pushing Logan-Rogersville ahead 27–19 with 3:47 left. Glendale struggled to handle the pressure, committing 12 first-half turnovers, and the Wildcats capitalized repeatedly.

By halftime, Logan-Rogersville had blown the game open, building a commanding 38–21 lead.

Third Quarter: Pressure Turns into Separation

Any hopes of a Falcon comeback were erased after the break.

Logan-Rogersville kept the defensive screws tightened, forcing turnover after turnover. The pressure unlocked a huge quarter from Moore and Branham, who consistently finished in transition and attacked mismatches in the half court.

The Wildcats stretched the margin to 61–39 after three, effectively putting the semifinal out of reach.

Fourth Quarter: Statement Finish

The fourth quarter was academic.

Logan-Rogersville dominated both ends of the floor, pushing the lead past the 30-point mark, triggering the turbo clock early in the quarter. The Wildcats emptied the bench and cruised home, closing out an authoritative 80–46 victory.
